Very Nice Radio
This is a very good radio for the money and the stock antenna is almost as good as a aftermarket upgrade. The batterie life is incredible had the radio running for 3 days and still had life in it.

The Noaa weather and FM radio are great. It’s best to buy a gmrs book and buy watch podcasts on youtube before you buy this, then buy it. Don’t assume you will be talking to anyone soon unless your area has repeaters. It is not like a CB.

Almost a great radio
It has a lot of features not normally found on radios in this price range such as being able to program multiple attributes for each channel (DCS / CTCSS tones, squelch level, etc.). That being said, there are a couple of quirks that were very annoying.
1. The volume is difficult to adjust, it’s almost full blast as soon as you turn the on / off / volume switch.
2. There is a very loud squelch tail at the end of every transmission, gets annoying quickly.
3. Scan “lists” are limited to 16 channels and there is only one list for both zones. It might be possible to create additional lists using programming software, I don’t have a Windows PC so I couldn’t try this.
